Hi Jeffrey. I have one day with PSE13 and using PSE13 for dummies as a tutorial. I was copying a JPG File (.jpg) to the clipboard. If this is not the correct thin to do, please let me know what I can copy to the clipboard for use in PSE13.
Thank you!
Thank you!

You're just right-clicking on the file in windows? That won't work for Elements. Just open the JPEG in Elements, Select>All, Copy then select the document you want to paste into and paste the pixels in.

Ok - Right click and copy of JPEG will not work in PSE13. This brings me to what clipboard is being referenced in the FILE > NEW > Image from clipboard?
Also, I tried your instruction to " Just open the JPEG in Elements, Select>All, Copy then select the document you want to paste into and paste the pixels in. I got this far: Open JPEG in PSE - OK , SELECT > ALL - OK
Copy was grayed out under EDIT > Copy. What am I doing wrong?

Was there a marching and marquee around the image after Select All? I'd suspect copy wouldn't be available if there isn't an active selection.

Jeffrey,
I was able to open the JPEG, Select All, Copy, and Paste in a MS Word document.
I found out that the process was not available in QUICK or GUIDED mode. I was successful in EXPERT mode.
Thanks for all your support.
I was also able to copy the image from my WORD doc and in EXPERT mode I was able to use the FILE > NEW > Image from clipboard tool.
