Photoshop: PSD flattened on open (caused by 3rd-party Airdrop app)

Hi everybody, I have a problem:

if I open a .psd with layers made by a colleague I get a flattened image, but he saved the file correctly and in another computer the layers are still present in the same file.

if I save the file and open in both computers, the file is flattened with an file a little bit heavier than the original one, but in the history panel there are no actions done, there is no script executed on the opening of the file and all the other files in my hd haven't any problem. It occurs only with files from some of my colleagues.

I have cc 2017, my two colleagues cc 2017 and cc 2015.5.

I need to solve this problem, do you have any advice?

Thank you.

Do you have "Layers" unchecked in the save options section at the bottom of the Save dialog?

I tried also with different color profiles (i though that maybe the program added an automatic merge, also if it asks which color profile it need to use when i open the file) but nothing changed...

Solved. The problem was in Airdrop. During the transfer (we don't know why) Airdrop flattened the image.

I am having the same problem. How did you solve the issue of layers flattening when transferring through airdrop?
