When opening an eps file generated by InDesign, Photoshop does not render fonts properly.
The font used is Ubuntu, an Adobe font.

Seems to work here for me. Did you get an error exporting the EPS about fonts? Could you post your EPS file? (dropbox or CC files)

Also, it kinda looks like you have some font substitution going on, particularly on the first and last lines.  Those are ALL Ubutu?  The text is all French?

Thanks,
David

Thank you for your answers.
Here is the same file opened with Photoshop 2019 at a few second intervall.

I have uninstalled Photoshop 2020 and reinstalled it.
The problem remains.
I have made a test on my second computer. The situation is exactly the same : it opens correctly in Photoshop 2019 and not in Photoshop 2020.
I have made this type of work twice a week for a few month now with no problem with Photoshop 2019.
I am new on this forum. I was looking for a way to contact Adobe. I did not find a way to do that on uservoice.com, it seems there is no photoshop version of this site.
Are Adobe people on this forum ?

Salut Philippe,

I'm the Type guy, so I'd be more than happy to try and get to the bottom of the issue that you're having.  It appears that you are having font substitution when I look at these two screenshot.  Is the font Helvetica Regular, by chance?  It would be very helpful if you could post a copy of this file so we can try it.

Merci,
David

p.s. -- si tu veux, on peut communiquer en français aussi, s'il est plus facile...

Hello Jeffrey, hello David,
The font is Ubuntu Light, an Adobe font.
I have made new tests today.
The eps file is correct when I set Postscript on Level 2 when exporting from InDesign (and then not correct for level 3, with Photoshop 2019, it was correct on level 3).
You can download the InDesign file and the eps file from the following links.

Thank you for your help.

Salut Philippe,

I'm not sure what to tell you.  When I try to open your EPS file, everything is beautiful.  I'm not seeing any issue.

Have you checked the integrity of your font cache?  https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/troubleshoot-fonts-photoshop.html

Perhaps you should reinstall that font?

I hope that helps,
David

Hello,
I have tried all the solutions proposed on the page you mention.
It has not solved the problem.
I have two computers, both with Photoshop 2020 and Mojave 10.14.6. The problem is the same on the two computers.
I have a workaround by setting the Postscript level on 1 when exporting from InDesign.
But still, it seems not normal...
Cheers,
Philippe
