PS looking for disk, won't open in windows 7. new problem worked well before

I get a window stating that there is no disk in drive. 'Photoshop.exe-No Disk' Please insert disk into drive\Device\harddisk6\DR6. It will not close or respond, even with the Adobe disk in place. This is a new problem, it worked well before. Operating Windows 7 with a good powerful computer. The only way to close it out is to use task manager. At this point I cannot use the problem. I thought that this might be acrupted file, so I uninstalled and then reinstalled the program. Worked OK for a while, but when I shut the computer off is started all over again.
