PS CS6: Pattern Library- can not select when I get more than 4 rows of patterns

I have had this same problem in CS 5 & now in CS 6.
I define allot of patterns. When my library fills with over four rows and I try to select a pattern using the fill command (or menu item) it will only give me the first four rows. I have to click outside and then reselect the custom pattern box several times before it lets me scroll down to the other patterns.

My work around has been to keep re-setting the patterns once I have four rows with the default patterns (5 items). This of course does not let me scroll to the patterns I have saved unless there is less than four rows. Or let me load several themes of the PS patterns. Or I have to click on the bottom swatch several times to see what is underneath. The scroll bar just does not seem to be working!

Which patterns picker are you using?

And have you tried resizing the pattern picker?

A screen shot might help.

Chris,
Based on your comment above I tried resizing it to "large thumbnail" (I had been using small thumbnail). I still have the problem. The scroll bar just doesn't want to scroll. I checked other palettes such as the swatches and layers (that also have scroll bars) I am having no problem there. What weird is that I was also having this same problem in CS5 as well.
I had just been using my work-around hoping it would be fixed with CS6 as so many things were.
Thanks for your help.
