Lightroom and Bridge: How do I set altitude units?

Recently I got a GPS device for my Camera. After importing the images into Lightroom 4.3, Altitude is displayed in Feet. However after bringing them into Bridge (CS6), they are displayed in Meters. I noticed in Scott Kelby's LR4 book (P87) has Altitude in Meters which I assume was a pretty early version of LR4. It would be nice if there was a toggle to set the units to suit your needs. So far I am unable to find this feature.

LR selects the units on the basis of your operating system's regional settings - if you change them in the OS, they'll change in LR too.

Thanks Victoria. That did work for LR. But Bridge, on the same computer, displays in meters. I was hoping that getting the answer for LR would give me clues for the Bridge issue. But thanks for helping me understand the LR thing.

Hmmmmm, not sure on Bridge for that one, sorry. Hopefully one of the Bridge guys will have an idea on that. You're only the second person I've heard ask about it for LR, so you may be the first for Bridge!

How can I change altitude units displayed in the metadata as meters to feet in Bridge CS6/Win7.

Hi Marvin, sounds like this didn't work for you in Bridge?

Hi Jeffery,

No, I toggled the units in Regional and Language (Win7) and it didn't change them. Sure would be curious what others around the globe see for the displayed units. Thanks......Marv

OK. Talked with the Bridge team. Sounds like this works differently in Bridge. I'll see if there's another way to do this.

I also want to enter altitude in feet, not meters, in Bridge.

Hi Thomas,

I don't think I have heard back from Jeffrey on this as I still have meters for my Bridge GPS units. And that is after taking Vicrtoria's suggestion on making sure my Win 7 OS was in feet.....it was. Maybe if Jeffery is listening he may have an update or it still might lie in the "Too hard to do" box.

Cheers,
