Why, all of a sudden, would PS4 and PSE12 refuse to open raw files shot in Fuji X-E2 (.RAF files) when it always has recognized these files before?

I tried re-installing PSE12, to no avail.

Photoshop 4 (assuming this is CS4 - please confirm) won't support this camera unless you convert your files to DNG. Details here: http://adobe.ly/ACRandDNG

Elements 12 when fully updated should support that camera. Choose Help>Updates ... to install the latest updates.

Once you do that, confirm the version of Camera Raw that you currently have installed.

To verify you have the most recent version of Adobe Camera Raw:

Mac: choose Photoshop Elements Editor>About Plug-In>Camera Raw...
Win: choose Help>About Plug-In>Camera Raw...

Hello Jeffrey.

I'm using OSX 10.8.5 for an operating system. I just updated PSE12 to 12.1. I am now able to open the .RAF Fuji raw files with PSE12, which is what I wanted to do. My camera raw system says I'm using 8.0.0.137. As long as I'm able to open the files with Elements, that's good enough.

Thank you so much for your answer and your help in getting to the bottom of my problem! It's very much appreciated!!

Sincerely,
