Hello everybody,

Photoshop CS6 Ligthroom 5.7 vs Canon Pixma Driver.
(Pixma IP6600D Windows 7 64)

Photoshop 32 or 64 :
If I chose "Photoshop Manages Color" in PS and Color Correction "None" in Print Settings ; when I close and open again Print Settings, Color Correction is not "None" but "Driver Matching".
My choice does not remain on "none"

Has the opposite, if I chose "Printer Manages Color", Color Correction stays on "None" when I want Driver Matching.

Stranger with Lightroom 5.x 64, the problem is the same but reversed in the exact behavior !

It is as if the programmer had to think about doing an automatic deactivation but deceiving setting. Instead of imposing "none" imposes "Driver Matching".

CS5 32 or 64 (on the same computer) does not have this problem and working perfectly.

When Photoshop is managing color, it provides that information to the driver, and the driver is supposed to turn off it's color conversions (according to Microsoft and Apple print APIs and driver documentation). This means that there is a bug in the Canon driver, where it is not following the instructions it gets from the OS and application.

I solved this problem by unistalling Canon driver version 2.0 for Vista that I downloaded from Canon web site, removing all its lefovers from the Windows folder and installing printer driver version 1.01 via Windows Update. Now I can disable color managent in the driver when printing from Photoshop and it is no longer reset to "Driver Matching". You can also download the driver manually by opening the URL in IE (doesn't work in any other browser) and seraching for CanoniP6600D3D0D
