Photoshop: Crashes when trying to save Image Based Light

PS crashes when I use levels command to change Image Based Light in environment.
Initialy I thought it might be only the horrible filename that is assigned to the Image Based Light texture opening file , but applying the levels command on this layer to raise the minimum dark at 60 was enough after about 10 seconds to crash the whole program. This is repetable every time, I crashed the software 5 times untill now by just using levels on the IBL . Once I click to close the
file and saving starts it's a guaranteed crash . Thanks Adobe .

As one of the longest continuing users, I am giving everyone the same advice. Go back to PS 2018. 2019 will require about a year to work out the bugs. Unless you are inclined to be a beta tester. I've seen this scenario 3 times before when a major change has been made to PS rendering engine.

We have a fix guys !!!
When the Image Based Light is opened DONT DO ANYTHING TO IT !!!
Procees as follows :
1) DUPLICATE the image to a new document with a simple name, something like "New IBL" and save it on desktop .
2) CLOSE the original Image Based Light - DONT SAVE IT !!! just close it .
3) Now instead of clicking the Edit Texture use Replace Texture for the Image Based Light in your Environment .
Everything will run ok .
So you can't edit your texture but you can use the replace function... xD

That's not a fix, that's a cumbersome workaround. Its going to be a year before all the issues with 2018 are resolved at least.

As long as you have a way to work without crashing the program...xD
