Photoshop CC: Image Size upscale issues

Running CC 2014 on a mid 2010 15-in MacBook Pro with 2.4 GHz i5 processor and 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 ram:
When attempting to upscale (image size) a large image (+25" @300 dpi), PS CC 2014 will start the process and hang up/freeze between a quarter and half way through the process. Downscales work correctly, as do smaller image upscale. Images also upscale correctly and quickly in CS3.

I am having the same issue. I haven't found a way to fix it yet. It seems like it is very slow at up-scaling but it works fine one down scaling. I am thinking there is an issue with cache?

What OS/version are you running on?

Upscaling uses "Preserve Details" which leverages the graphics card for acceleration. If there's a problem, it's likely a driver issue.
