I have my LR 7.3.1 system on my C: 500 GB SSD drive.  The .lrprev files are taking up 221 GB. What steps Do I need to follow to Move the catalog files etc to a alternate HD that's larger?  I dont want to lose my edits..

Simply move the folder containing the catalog file (.lrcat) and the preview folder (.lrprev) to a larger drive.  You can then open the catalog file in its new location.  The catalog file contains all of your edit adjustments to the master image files.  You can also move the master image files to a different drive.  However if you do, in Windows,  the path will change from the path stored in the catalog file and you will need to use the "Find Missing Folder" function to tell LR where the master image have been moved to.

Thank you for the info. I already have my pictures on a separate Hard Drive. I will look to setup a SSD and move to it..
