I run repeadingly into program crash while working with big panorama pictures. How can I prevent this or is it an program error?

I use 16 core XEON with 80GB main memory and photoshop crashes. But not every time. Just if it crashes ones with a picture on a certain step it crashs again the next time.

If you have specific steps with a specific image, having both the steps and the files to reproduce might help us narrow down the problem.
Hi, I just tried to reproduce this issue with 6 pictures from last holiday.
It works instantly. And this issue occurs on both computers which I'm using.
Stitching with Microsft ICE takes just seconds.
I try to merge pictures taken from NIKON D800 (7378*4924 pix) and NEF-Type (JPEG is the same).
Used system: Windows 10 Pro, Intel i7 3610QM CPU 2,3GHz, 16GB memory.
or
Windows 10 Pro, XEON 16 core, 72GB memory
I have not attached the pictures because of the size. Should I? I think there is no difference between any pictures, it hangs with all selections.

It would be good to get a set of images. If you can post to dropbox or CC files and post a URL here, I can download and try to troubleshoot.

You're seeing this issue using File/Automate/Photomerge?
I use e.g. nikcollection-full-1.2.11 for BW conversion. If the filter is applied, the crash appears while saving the new layer.
I'm on a mid 2011 27" iMac w/ 12 GB memory installed. gGraphics card is AMD Radeon HD 6970M 1024 MB. Here's a screen shot of an error report
