Photoshop CC: Program Conflict between Creative Cloud and Office 365

My brand new IMAC came with operating system El Capitan 10.11.6. and I started paying for the subscriptions for Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office 365 because I believed everything would work together.

With Photoshop CC version 2017.0.1 open the program Microsoft Excel for Mac version 15.29.1 has problems. In Excel, the cursor doesn't select fields correctly and doesn't accept data entered into the fields.

With Microsoft Word for Mac, version 15.29.1 open, Photoshop has problems. Transform and other commands do not work.

Those are a couple of problems I "know" now. I haven't taken time to isolate more problems, as work is busy. It's very problematic because I have to close all but one program down in order to work in that program.

Hi Jane,

I am running the same version of Microsoft Office and Photoshop on El Capitan and I am not able to reproduce the behaviors you describe. What did you have installed first? Office or CC? Have you restarted the computer?

Hello Jeffrey, I'm pretty sure I installed CC first, and then Office 365 for Mac. Yes, I've restarted the computer a number of times since installation last week. Any ideas would be appreciated.

When you have Word open you say "Transform and other commands do not work" in Photoshop. Can you be more specific? Are you saying you get an error? Selecting the menu item does nothing? The keyboard shortcut doesn't work?

Do you have any other 3rd party utilities installed? If you run in safe mode, do you still have trouble? https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/basic-troubleshooting.html#safemode
