Lightroom: Profile for Canon EF 85mm f1.2L II USM lens not assigned automatically

Lightroom 3.4.1 (and ealier versions) does not automatically assign a profile for the Canon EF 85mm f1.2L II USM lens. The correct profile does exist in the database, but it is not assigned automatically when the "Enable Profiole Corrections" box is checked. The profile has to be assigned manually.

I *think* this is because the profile was created with a different camera than the one you are using, but I'm not sure.

Also, cameras don't use a standardised way of recording the lens in the file metadata - the standard is only just coming in. That can result in LR not being sure which lens was used.

If you select the correct profile and then go to the Setup pop-up menu and choose Save New Camera Raw Defaults, it should assign it for that camera/lens combination automatically in future for you.
