Photoshop: How do I increase the resolution of an image?

I want to increase dpi/inch from 96 to 300dpi/inch on photographs I have on my desktop, please tell me steps in writing I have no audio capability, thx

Which applications are you working in? In Photoshop, going to Image > Image Size will give you the option to change the Resolution of the document.

Note, if you're starting with an image that's 96 dpi, increasing the resolution may effect the quality of the image.

Thx, I found a how to on line.
Its done, and I sent project to vistaprint.com for printing. Hoping it comes out well

Some Mls pics are less than 96dpi to begin with. I need to be able to use other agents photos. Some great listings have really bad photos.

My digital 6mp camera photos are only 72 I'm wondering how high the camera mp must be to have 300dpi or above. Is there a chart somewhere or can you just divide or multiply when choosing a camera or phone/camera.

Sometimes the DPI depends on how the picture was imported, and even the camera. If you're using Lightroom/Aperture/Camera RAW to import, it should give you the true resolution of the photo.

If you're using a 6mp camera, it's possible that it won't shoot images at 300dpi.

I need to upload a photo to Cafe Press for a picture to canvas print but it states the resolution of my photo is too low. How do I increase the resolution.
