When accessing files stored on a DFS Share from Photoshop CC the program reports the file is corrupt. We did not have this issue previously. Direct access to a standard network share works without error.

What OS version are you using?

Have you installed all the Photoshop CC updates (you should be on version 14.1.2)?

And have you tried connecting to the server through another protocol (SMB, CIFS, etc.)?

In most cases like this, the problem turns out to be with the server or communication protocol (frequently an OS or driver bug).

I am having the same issue with two different computers.
One running Windows 7 Pro x64 and one running Windows 8.1 Enterprise x64.
Both are current on windows patches.
Both are running the current 14.1.2 version of Photoshop CC.
The Windows 7 computer is still running the original Intel drivers, as for the newer Windows 8.1 box I have updated the drivers to the latest version, and to be diligent bios and other drivers as well...

Currently we only support SMB shares on this server.
When we attempt to open the file via the DFS Share on the server the file reports corrupt.
When I map a new network drive directly to the share it works fine.

To test further we forced Windows to another one of the server storing the data – same result.

While it is possible it is an OS bug we have no issue with any other software... (i.e. Word, Excel, SharePoint). But then, they are Microsoft as well...

But I am open to ideas.... Please.

The evidence you have means that the problem is in the OS, the DFS driver, or the fileserver itself.
