I'm having problems within Lightroom with some kind of noise within the viewing pane, see imported picture.

Any ideas in correcting this?

I have tried to uninstall and re-install Lightroom but it doesn't help to fix it.

Regards
Alan

Nothing to worry about!

You have your Highlight Clipping warning turned on. It is showing you the overexposed areas of your image.  The little triangles above the Histogram in Develop turn the Highlight and Shadow clipping warnings on and off - or you can use the [ J ] shortcut to toggle them on and off.

Notice as you slide your Highlight slider back how the area gets smaller...

Thanks Rikk,

Clearly I'm a complete novice at this but what a great little feature to use with the gradient filter.

I kept the Highlight Clipping warning on applied a filter top to bottom and adjusted exposure setting until all noise had gone.

It would be better to use the highlight fader or the white point fader as they are more selective.  Exposure darkens the entire photo
