I have the latest version of Photoshop CS6 in both 32 and 64 bit version from the creative cloud. I am experiencing issues in the 64 bit version where the layers aren't selecting when I click on them and after creating a layer mask, I can paint black into the mask but not while. The 32 bit version appears to be working correctly. I just discovered the issue. I have about 200 photos to edit and this is a big problem. Reverting to 32 bit. jronbrasfield@usa.net or brasfld-photo@usa.net

Have you installed the 13.0.1 update?

Do you have any third party plugins specific to 64 bit?

And are you sure that you don't just have the blend mode set to something like multiply?

I'm running the same 3rd party addins that I have been for the last month. Nik and Topaz addins. I'm on 13.0.1 and just installed the patch for today. The 32 bit version is working fine with the same addins and is on the same version.

In the layer mask I can not paint white on black, but can paint Black on white.

I just tried to paint on a regular layer Black yes and White no. BUT guess what you win the prize. The brush mode was set to Multiply...

There are so many words to describe the words I want to say, but a huge thank you will do. I wonder if this has happened to anyone else?

You're welcome! Yeah, every once in a while someone forgets that they changed the blend mode, and just miss it when looking at the tool options.
