Photoshop: Quick select tool very slow after installing Nik Color Efex Pro 4

The quick select too is all of a sudden very slow and will not respond to addition or subtraction w/ the option held down in Mac. Holding down the left portion of the mouse and dragging the qick select tool is delated in responding. This has not been the case before. I did install Color Efex Pro 4 as an update and did install Nik update to that today. Could this be a problem. I haved aslo tried removing it and restarting and it had no effect. What is the problem?

First, try disabling all your third party plugins and see if the problem goes away.

Which OS version are you using? (in case this is another bug in Lion)

Yes. 3rd party plug-ins could cause something like this. I agree with Chris. If you installed some plug-ins and the problem started, it's pretty clear what's causing the problem.
