Lightroom: Problem flagging pix as picked in Survey Mode (N)

Hi there,
While in the survey mode with multiple pictures, I'm enable to flag as picked my selected photos. It appears that when I hit the "p" key on the picture I want to select for later post-processing, all the pictures that are showing in the Survey Mode are automatically flaged as picked.
It didn't use to behave like this, I used to be able to flag as picked only the picture I was clicking on + hitting the p key in the Survey Mode.
Am I doing something wrong, is this problem related to my PC?...
Thanks for your help!
Arnaud

Schmid you are not doing any thing wrong but you just need to turn off the AUTO SYNC button.
When making selections by hitting the "p" key it works in two different ways.

#1 When in SYNC mode only the most selected photo will be flagged by hitting the "p" key.

#2 When in AUTO SYNC mode hitting the "p" key will select all of the photos you have in survey mode.

The AUTO SYNC/SYNC button can be found at the bottom of the right hand panel. To turn AUTO SYNC on/off click on the very small boxes just to the left of the button (Adobe could you make these on off switches bigger)

Sometimes you may want AUTO SNYC on, for example in survey mode you could select say 20 photos at a time and decide to remove 3 of them that are out of focus (hit the X in the lower right of image to remove them from survey mode). With AUTO SNYC on now you can select all 17 of the photos showing in survey mode by just hitting the "p" key once.

If you want to make selects one at a time turn off AUTO SYNC.
Helpful hint: If you turn on your Caps Lock on your keyboard each time you hit the "p" key Lightroom will advance the most selected photo to the next one in survey mode. (must have 2 or more selected)

Hi Ron,

Thanks a lot for your answer that solved my problem!!
After posting it I thought it would be a matter of synchronisation, and disabled the Auto Sync, but ... in the Develop module, which didn't solve anything of course. I then went to look in the Library module in Grid View mode but couldn't find any Auto Sync button. I didn't think of looking for it while in Survey mode...

All the best,
Arnaud
