PHOTOSHOP CC Problem with Save As command with LZW compression

The Save As command in photoshop that saves tiffs with LZW compression and Image Pyramid is different than the function that does this through actions or scripts. The files seems identical but our server can only read the manually saved files. So it has to be a difference between the files. Extensive testing has been done. This slows our workflow down quite heavy. This used to be ok in CS4

Which version are you using now?
What kind of server code is failing to read the files?
What "extensive testing" has been done?

Now I ́m using Creative Cloud, had the same problem with CS5 and CS6 as well. Its a Erez image server that demands LZW Tiff and Image Pyramide. But the error must be in the way photoshop saves the files.

I ́ve tried different techniques to automatically export the tiff, actions, photoshop script and javascript. Files shows up in photoshop with all the right settings, so the scripts work as they should. But whenever they ́re automatically saved in any way the don't show up on the server. If I then again open the non-working file, press Save As, sees all the correct settings and presses Save -> Overwrite the file starts working again.

So far I can't find any differences in the code paths for saving TIFF from action, script or direct user input.

What error is the server giving you? Have you contacted the server maker about this?

Ok, I opened the two tiff files i text editor and found some more information in the manually saved files, This part of the text didn ́t make any sense to me, but i showed that there is a difference between the files.

The automatically generated files are not showing up on the server at all, this is the same behavior as if it was a different file format.

Unfortunatly the Erez server is no longer supported and is quite outdated, but regardless I ́m hoping to find a way to do it through photoshop.

This is a link to a example file, both pyramid and lzw compressed tiffs, shows no differences in ps but one works on the server and the other one doesn ́t

The action is a pretty straight forward Save As action, see image, I tried both IBM PC and Macintosh, server reads both.

The only difference I can find so far is that "doesn't work" does not contain an ICC profile, while "works" does contain an sRGB profile.

Aha, that might be it, I ́ll assign a profile and test it

Unfortunatly its ́s still the same thing, if I assign a profile and press save or do it by action it doesn ́t work, but if I press Save As > Overwrite >Ok it works. So it seems that there is a difference between save and save as
