I am using Adobe CS4 and printing on an Epson Styus Pro Printer and for some reason my prints are printing darker and more importantly MORE RED than they should. I have tried various methods but can not resolve.
When I am printing photos of Art work that situation seems to make the problem worse.

Thanks for responding.
I have tried " photo manages color" and "printer manages color" I have tried Relative colorimatiric and perceptual. Black point is checked. I believe I am using the latest profiles when photoshop determines color. I have tried reducing the reds in the proof below what I want and that helps some.
Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.

Photoshop manages color should be most accurate - if you select the correct profile for your printer and paper choice.
But if the printer color management also fails, then that sounds like you may have selected the wrong type of paper or something in the print driver settings.
Needless to say, to get the right amount of ink on the paper - it is important that the printer driver knows exactly what kind of paper you have loaded, and the color profile that you use has to match that paper and printer model.

Oh, and always check for the obvious clogged heads or lack of ink...
