It's probably best if I ask whoever reads this to click on the link which will take you to a post on the LR Queen forum. This will give a detailed description plus screen shots, as well as a similar problem experienced by a user of LRcc editing in PScc.

There was a similar problem came up on the search generated by this forum when I started a new post but it wasn't as extensive. This issue goes much further.

Many thanks

Doing some research on other threads, it could be one of 3 issues. A damaged installation (uninstall and reinstall Photoshop to fix), a permissions issue (create a new Admin user account and try running from the new account to confirm), 3rd party plug-ins (remove all 3rd party plug-ins).

I was able to duplicate the same problem two different OS X machines  Both of my machines were running the latest release of LRCC (2015.5) and PSCC.   So the issue is not isolated. and is not limited to LR5.7 and PS13.  It could be some resource constraint  although I see in on both a 16GB and 8GB machine and both of my machines have plenty of room for working storage.  I have used the Edit In function in LR successfully with PS before but never  more than a few files,  This time I triggered the massage with 10 images. I use edit in  with a focus stacking app and more than 60 images with no error messages.   I will re run this  process with four image  and again with 5, 6, &7 to see at what point the error is triggered/

Further testing. PSCC will open 4 36MP NEFs with no error message.    If I try to open 5 36 mp images I get an error AND PSCC only receives 4 images.

If I try six 36mp NEF images, LR throws the error  and continues to create intermediate TIFFS.   PSCC opens the first 4 NEFs and then the 6 intermediate TIFF files created by LR.  The end result in PS is 10 files open – 4 NEF and 6 TIFF.    If I try six 36mp TIFFs with the edit in function, LR does not throw an error and PSCC opens as expected.
I can use the edit in function to send 9 36mp image file to ON1 Photo10 app.  LR renders the RAW as TIFF  and ON1 Photo10 opens 6 of the 9 images and throws an Error 1002 on the remaining 3.  I think the problem is with PSCC resources.

Thanks Jeffrey, Installation does not seem to be the problem and I have cleaned up permissions, and used another login - all to no avail.

Any other ideas  from anyone
