Lightroom Classic: Why can't I "copy and paste" pictures like any other windows program can?

why doesn't LR Classic allow me to copy pictures the usuall windows-way and paste them f.e. into letters in MS Word or to an Email etc. Or am I am wrong and just don't know how to do that??? Please help. Thks

It is NOT possible. It's the way LR Classic is constructed. LR i a develop module and organizer, so it's possible to use images in other applications.

Thanks, Jens, still, I would appreciate if they coud change that since the basics of copy and paste are really a basic law of computer-work and communications. And it could be easily implemented since LR allows you to MOVE images with relative ease.

No, it would not be easy to implement and it would go against the basic principle of what Lightroom is all about. Lightroom stores edits in rhe catalog. When you need two different sets of edits for the same image, you do not duplicate that image like you would in most other programs, you make a virtual copy. That's an extra set of edits in the catalog, not a real copy. Lightroom does know copy and paste, just like any other application. But that is copy and paste of metadata (edits are also metadata), not the images themselves. When you've gotten a better understanding of how Lightroom works, you'll appreciate that this is how it should work.

Have you ever tried other RAW editores. I have never seen it a RAW editor. Even when you open a Camera RAW it is not possible.
