I want to report a problem in the reference view mode (Comparison of two images) in Lightrrom Classic. The reference image is always exposed above the norm. Even though the picture is not edited, it has a brighter brightness. That way I can't leave the image being edited the same, because it is always over exposed.
I can duplicate a "small" brightness change between the Reference and Active views in Lr 8.4 and MacOS 10.14.6. Screen clips of the Reference and Active views show the following when brought into Photoshop and aligned and then using a Difference Blend Mode. I can only detect the brightness change by flipping between the images in Photoshop. Its very subtle and not enough to make a difference for me if I am using Reference View.
