Photoshop CC: Program error when changing fonts

I have:
win7 64bit Home Premium SP1.
Graphics card NVIDIA Quatro K620,
16GB DDR3 ram,
PS v.20160113.r.355x64.

When trying to change a font, I keep getting a pop up that says: "Could not complete your request because of a program error."

When I click on the type layer to activate it and then go to the font drop down, just passing the cursor over the different font listing causes the process to stop and the warning comes up.  Sometimes it works but most of the time it does not.  It seems like it has to process more information than it can handle by just having to identify the different fonts.

Thank you,

Tom

Hi Thomas,

Sorry for the program errors when changing fonts, you might try resetting Photoshop's preferences and see if that helps out:
