LIGHTROOM: Problem with image display after importing from camera

Why after importing images from camera does the thumbnails get blotted out with something that looks like wallpaper. Covers any where from 75-90% of thumbnail

That's a new one, pattern-wise, still - my guess: Lr is reading a bad image file, either due to permanent corruption on disk or apparent corruption due to bad ram.

If corrupt immediately after importing, consider trying a different card, card-reader, or USB cable..

Thanks for replying, this has been going on for some time. does not do it to all images just the ones I want to edit. LoL, Just out of the blue this happens I have been considering upgrading but with this issue going on I cant. I have even changed hard drives and still occuring.

Have you ruled out corruption upon import? If occurring after import, consider checking and/or replacing ram.
