Thanks Paula

Your magenta cartridge could be empty. (most common cause :-)
Your magenta print heads could be clogged.

Or you could have made a mistake in the color conversions while printing.

Hi thanks for reply but magenta is full. The green tint still happens when I print b&w pics on greyscale, so only using the black cartridge.

Not sure what you mean about colour conversions.
Thanks

If you get a green tint when printing with *only* black ink - then something is wrong with the paper or the black ink. (that shouldn't be possible)

I mean the color settings in Photoshop's print dialog and your printer driver dialog. There are color conversions to make from the document color to the printer colors - and if you changed those incorrectly, they could introduce a color cast.

That's the point, I haven't changed anything. The green cast is there on colour or b&w pics. I have changed all the cartridges and tried four different types of paper, matt and gloss changing the paper profile and it still there. I know it shouldn't be possible when only printing from the black so something's got screwed up in the settings somewhere and I'm really stuck as to where.
