Photoshop: Printing width of image is incorrect with Epson printers

This was fixed in a previous Photoshop 2020 update but the problem is back again. When printing images from Photoshop and Lightroom, the width of the image is smaller than the width of the actual image. As the print becomes larger so does the difference. For example, a 12" h x16" w (Photoshop canvas states width is 16") will print the width as 15 15/16", a 30" h x 40" w (Photoshop canvas says 40" width) will print the width 39 7/8". I have tested this on several Epson printers. When printing from a RIP software the size is correct, so it is not the printer. This needs to be fixed as it affects product printing and sales.

9Jun2020: I printed another large image. Photoshop shows the ruler width as 40" and the canvas size is 40" but after printing the width was 39 11/16" WHY?

Is there anyone from Adobe to answer this?

I printed an 8x10 image. In Photoshop the canvas/image is 8x10 but the print is 7 31/32 x 9 15/16 on 2 Epson (P9000 & P800) and 1 Canon (Pro-100) printers. I increased the width to 10.0625 (displays in Photoshop as 10.064) and the height is auto set to 8.05, this matches the canvas size. When printing on all 3 printers the size is 10 1/16 x 8 1/20 which matches the canvas/image size.

So the problem with Photoshop seems to be with whole numbers and it gets worse as the size increases,

Adobe, please fix this.

I've asked some folks with access to printers to take a look. The printing code hasn't changed in Photoshop or Lightroom in some time. If you print from 2019, does it come out right with the same driver? (you can install 2019 next to 2020 to try out)

I'll try and install 2019 to run a test. Today I printed a 32x40 print and using the image is set at exactly 32x44 but the print actually printed 31 15/16 x 39 3/4.
