Photoshop: Printer compatibility with PS

I share two printers with my desktop & laptop. However, I now receive error messages from one printer at my laptop that "my printer is not compatible with this version of PS. Check printer settings before printing. Function will not be available until you have selected a printer and reopened any documents." The desktop can print documents but not from laptop. Have been printing with no problems just a couple weeks ago. I checked sharing settings and they seem OK. Any suggestions where else I can check? Thanks.

What is the exact error message you receive? Because the error message you gave doesn't appear in Photoshop.

Which printer are you having trouble with?
Which version of Photoshop?
Which OS version?

That's not an error message. It's just informative -- telling you that some settings you made for PostScript printers don't apply to the printer you're using (because it doesn't use PostScript).

And problems reproducing color would need another topic so people can help you figure out the correct settings.

Thank you for your prompt reply. Somehow the problem corrected itself. I tried the usual logging off, etc. and then later that day was back to normal. I did recheck my settings and maybe I did something that helped but at this time, don't know what I did. Many thanks again.................
