I'm a photographer. If I purchase a new brand/type of paper to use in my Epson 3880 printer, where do I install the printer profiles?  I've put them in username/library/colorsync/profiles/ but they don't show up when I try to print in Photoshop CC2018.

I have a p800, so this may not be exactly the same, but the profiles are in:
/Library/Printers/EPSON/InkjetPrinter2/ICCProfiles

You may also want to see if there is a new driver, Epson released several in September.

Have you tried deleting the printer and reconnecting via the OS Prefs?

I just removed the printer drivers via the uninstall program from Epson. I then reinstalled the printer drivers. Still, none of the default Epson paper profiles are showing when I try to print.

Can you see the profiles using the Color Sync Utility (/Applications/Utilities/ColorSync Utility.app)

Hi Tom... I appreciate you trying to help. No, I tried using the ColorSync Utility.  Epson printers install paper profiles for their standard set of professional grade papers. Although I only use a couple of them, none of the profiles are anywhere on my hard drive that I can locate.

So, if Color Sync can't see them, neither can Photoshop. I just installed some 3880 profiles on a 10.13 Mac that I'm now upgrading to Mojave. I'll keep you posted if I find anything useful.

Don-
After updating to Mojave, I could no longer see my profiles in /Library/Printers/EPSON/InkjetPrinter2/ but I can still see everything in /Library/ColorSync/Profiles. I also tried reinstalling the driver after deleting the Epson folder in Library/Printers. Everything worked but I noticed that there were no installed profiles. When I went looking for p800 profiles for Mojave, on Epsons website, I couldn't find any. When I went I selected 10.10 for my OS, I found one set of Legacy profiles containing 4 profiles for art papers that installs into /Library/ColorSync/Profiles. These profiles show up in Photoshop as well as the 3880 profiles I have loaded.

So, basically, I'm not seeing your bug but I did see a few other mentions of the same issue by other users. I'll keep looking.

Hey Tom.... problem SOLVED! The one thing I did not do was to go into System Preferences and actually delete the printer. I then added the exact same printer back into the system. All of the Epson default paper profiles have returned. I had to go back into them via PhotoShop to complete the printer settings for each paper. All is good. Thanks for your support.
