I had Photoshop Elements 15 for Christmas last year and it has never allowed me to access the printer pref for my HP printer, all other software was working fine with settings and previously installed Elements 11 also had the settings. I have now replaced my laptop (to an HP one) installed the printer from latest drivers and installed PS Elements 15 from the purchased original CD. Same problem, all other software has print preferences, but PS Elements 15 is even worse than before boxes are blank. Advice please!

When you perform an upgrade (PSE 11 > 15) the old Preferences file is updated and may become corrupted.  Try resetting PSE 15 Preferences file.

Close PSE 15, hold down the Alt+Control+Shift keys, and relaunch PSE 15.

Thanks, I thought that on my old laptop, but this is a new installation on a brand new PC where no previous versions have been installed. As the printer preferences are all fine on other software I am starting to think that there may be a corruption of the file on the installation CD itself as the problem has been replicated on two different laptops now. I had no issues with PS Elements 11. I may have to go to Adobe and see if they can provide me with a new disc.

No need for a disk. You can download the full PSE 15 installer at the below link:

https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/photoshop-elements-downloads.html

You may also want to download the printer driver and reinstall it. Scroll down to 'Basic Driver' at the below link for the download:

https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-photosmart-plus-all-in-one-printer-series-b209/3...

The driver is dated March 23, 2010, but appears to be the latest version available. It doesn't sound promising for working on Windows 10 and a much newer version of PSE, but give it a try.

Thank you, I’ll give that a try tomorrow. If it works I will ask them to replace the CD as I paid for that version.

You can also burn the downloaded PSE 15 Installer to a CD, which is probably the final version and newer than the installer on Adobe OEM CD.
