When I press print in Photoshop will not print window open. This works fine in other Adobe applications.
Utility Photoshop says:There was an error opening your printer.
Prlnting functions will not be available until you have selected a printer and reopened
any documents.
I have tried this but nothing happens.
In the file menu becomes print inactive and nothing happens.

Your printer driver has a problem (hence the error it gave), and most likely needs to be updated to pick up bug fixes.

Sometimes drivers cannot read their previous settings correctly -- and Photoshop stores the last used print settings. You can remove the last used print settings by resetting Photoshop's preferences.

Thanks for the response.
I have tried to figure this out, but I do not know how to reset the print clean in Photoshop CS5.
Can you please explain me the steps.

I have deleted all printer drivers and installed the latest updated drivers. It did not solve the problem. The problem is that Photoshop is not able to open the print window. It works properly with Acrobat, InDesign and Illustrator.

You have 2 possibilities: either the print window is opening on another display that you disconnected, or the printer driver is not working and not allowing Photoshop to initialize the print settings so it can open the print window.

If you haven't used a second monitor recently and disconnected it, then you probably need to talk to your printer manufacturer to determine why your printer driver is not working correctly.

I have never used another monitor.
I created a new user on my machine, then worked printing with Photoshop.
When I go back to my managing user it does not work.
What could this come from?

It could come from the last used print settings hitting a bug in the printer driver (resetting Photoshop's prefs will get rid of the last used print settings), or some other printer driver setting in your user (registry or elsewhere) causing problems in the printer driver code.
