I can't use the Print Settings button in the Print dialogue box. Have been using it for days to save a layered file as a PDF. When I attempt to use the Print botton I get an error message about a disk error preventing printing.

Which product are you using? What version of that product?
What OS are you running on? What OS version?
Have you tried selecting a different printer?

OK, found some previous discussions about this. Everything seems to be a work around, and a variety of things seem to be in play. I switched the Color Handling from the Printer to Photoshop and that did the trick.

I've now had a font and a printing problem within a week of installing the new 12.0.4 upgrade for PS5 on OS X 10.6.8. Not clear that it's related but the potential should give users pause before making the switch.

Photoshop CS5 uses 64bit/Cocoa OS API which are more twitchy about bad fonts and older printer drivers.

Did you solve your font issue?

The font problem is a known issue with the 12.0.4 upgrade with the system font Lucida Grande. Have been in communication with Adobe on this. Would a one year old printer likely have an old driver? Likely, yes in technology dog years, right. Will look to see if there is an update to my Canon printer driver.
