Problem that is driving me mad ...looking for anyone who can help please.

Recently had my machine upgraded at work to Windows 7 64 bit and have been having prodblems with "print to Adobe PDF" in Photoshop CS5.

Everytime I print to Adobe PDF from photoshop it is outputting a small thumbnail in the top left hand orner of the PDF.

This is a photoshop only problem - no issues with Illustrator CS5

Have tried running the program in 64 bit and 32 bit, have tried reinstalling the driver via the "add printer" function.

Im out of steam, please help someone :)

Why are you printing to PDF and not just saving as PDF?

What you're describing could only be an issue in the PDF print driver - well outside of Photoshop's control.

Thank you for your response.

I have been printing rather than saving as the file size is much lower. How would you reccomend reducing the file size after "saving as PDF" from PS?

When printing, all you get is the bitmap.
When saving, you have a lot of options on what to include or exclude.

So the file size will depend on what options you choose when saving as PDF -- do you save just the flattened image, or layers, searchable text, etc.
