Preview in Lightroom CC are being overwritten/changed.

I am reporting a bug with lightroom CC. I was shooting tethered to the computer on a commercial shoot and then began to notice that some images were disappearing. Or rather, that the thumbnails for the images were being changed. As an example, I had twenty images on screen (as thumbnails) and suddenly noticed that image 5 was the same thumbnail as image 17 -- as if image 5 had been overwritten, which was not possible. This stayed the case if I went into develop mode or any other module. The source file was not being overwritten, however, as when I switched to lightroom 5 (I have a stand alone version) I could see the original image and thumbnail.

This happened with the client present and watching.

My computer is windows 7 64 bit running 16G of RAM

I have had a similar experience, imported shots from one day's shooting, then imported images from the following week, and the thumbnails and even the develop was of the other import.

Now in quick collections from the first shoot, the thumbnails of the second shoot are there and in the application Lightroom CC 2015, it appears I have lost the images I took originally.

Unimpressed to say the least! The core function of this application is to handle files correctly!!!

I've just found that selecting the images with the issue and discarding the smart preview returns the image to its correct state.
