Many of us use the same dimensions repeatedly. It would be great to have presets for cropping just as we do for exports, imports, and other current LR functions.

You can already do that. When you pick the crop dimensions (in develop module) from the pull down box (next to the little padlock,) just click "Enter Custom" and put in your crop dimensions. They'll be saved for you in the pull down box from that point forward.

Indeed you can use any value in the aspect ratio of a crop.

Joe, not quite true, sure, some recent or most-used ones are saved, but not all the ones I want.  And yes, Paul, I have used LR for years, since the first iteration, and I know you can set your own custom crop dimensions, but I would like to save them ... I have at least a dozen standard sizes that I use!

Yes they are not saved to other catalogs, and that's a nuisance ...

TTBOMK- Using "Enter Custom"- Only 5 custom crop ratios will be saved that can be selected later.
As you create more 'Saved' Custom crops they will replace one of the five allowed. (First in- first out)

Yes 5 is not enough why not stop at 16 if you have to specify a limit

And it would be nice to be able to give them names, just as we do any other presets:
FB Banner,
Website,
XYZ Submission,
Twitter,
Website Pano,
Blog,
Blog Pano,
etc., etc., etc.

I agree with TBC, and would go one further step. Group crop presets like most other presets can be. A set of named crop presets for Client 1, another group for Client 2 etc. And no limits please.

People have been asking for this since LR1.

My Any Crop plugin lets you save as many named presets as you want. It provides a number of other features users have requested from LR, and fixes two long-standing bugs with LR cropping.  Not as convenient as having it all built-in, but it gets the job done.
