Premiere Elements crashes when trying to share on MacOS 10.9

Every time I try to share from Premiere Elements 11 on OS X Mavericks the following error occurs ... "Adobe Premiere Elements is unable to save data to 11.0/SC/Workflows and must shut down". It suggests folder permissions but the folder doesn't exist. Tried to create and set full permissions but still does not work just crashes. Tried with a new clip and project, still no joy.

Almost gave up and then ... watched it install and still no folder created in the library/application support/adobe/premiere elements/11.0/SC/Workflows. So decided to watch what it did when I created a new project and Eureka! ... the install had created the 11.0 folder in documents/adobe/premiere elements so the hardcoded subroutine in the program would not find it. I copied the 11.0 folder from there to the library/application support/adobe/premiere elements folder that it did create and voila! ... it now works fine :) Maybe just a quirk of Mavericks install process but at least it fixed it.
Yah boo sucks to Adobe support for the help ...

Hi David,
I did what you wrote and the install don't create nothing in the 11.0 folder i had created in application support and in documents.
Have you an idea ?

Hi Pierre
The program doesn't, I tried that. This was my method.
I uninstalled the premiere elements application using the uninstall utility in the applications folder/adobe premiere folder. I then rebooted the machine. I then installed the program again. It created a folder library/application support/adobe/premiere elements/11.0 (you need to hold the option key when using the finder go menu to see the library). You should see the folder but it will be empty. I then went to the documents/adobe/premiere elements folder and there was the 11.0 folder, and in it all the bits premiere elements needed. I just right (or ctrl) clicked the folder and copied it. Then went back to the library/application support/adobe/premiere elements/ and pasted it over the existing empty 11.0 folder. After I started Premiere again I could access the publish+share menu.
Hope it works for you.
Regards
David
