Premiere Elements 11 crashes when trying to play or process an audio fade on 5.1 channel audio track. Audio gain seems to work.

Windows Vista Ultimate 64 (although I could only install PE11 in 32-bit because 64-bit version was just for Windows 7)

What are the project settings? Check this by going to Edit -> Project Settings menu and send me a screenshot of what you see in this window. Is there a "5.1" text right next to the audio track name in the expert room timeline?

How are you trying to fade the audio? Could you try doing this in a different project? To do this, save the current project (Ctrl+S) and then go to File -> New Project and click on Change settings. Select NTSC DV Standard and drag the audio file into this and then try fade in this project.

Do you see this crash with any file on fade out? Is the audio a part of video or is it a separate audio file?
