I had to install Premiere Elements 8 on my home PC for my work. I have to learn this program to help with the training of others & for troubleshooting. The problem I am having is that this program is constantly hitting the network. I have satellite internet (Hughes net) & I am limited to a certain amount of access time to the net per a 24 hour day. Premiere keeps hitting the net and sucking down my access time & I am sick of it! I have turned off everything I can find that allows this program to access the net such as this online backup nonsense, but it is still doing it. WHAT do you folks have hidden in this program that so desperately needs to hit the internet? When this program is installed at my work there will be as many as 75 to 100 machines running at the same time & once the training is done as many as 50+ schools will want to get a several copies for themselves! I CANNOT have this program hitting our network as it is now hitting mine at home. This is the 2nd time I have asked for help with this problem & I have received NO help from Adobe at all! As things stand I am going to recommend to my department head that we no long purchase any more licenses agreements from Adobe for this program & I am already reviewing other programs that do the same thing such as Avid.
