Split screen not working in Expert Mode

When I am in Expert Mode I try to set up Split Screen, I move the timeline to the second monitor but the controls to play the monitor are hidden by the Organiser/Home Screen buttons.
I cannot find a way to 'fix' this.

I'm using an iMac with Mojave 10.13.2 i5 processor 3GHz 16GB RAM

See attached screen shot
