Poor preview performance

Just tried Bridge CC 2017 and browsing raw files performance is still pathetic (especially zooming to 100%) despite claims of improved cache management.  Adobe makes the slowest image previewers on the planet.

Hi Rory,
You may have seen this topic... "Please return the counter of remaining preview files" on this forum.

I have been struggling with really slow generation of previews - with large raw files and large numbers.

I just ran a test with Capture One (which I normally only use for tethered studio shooting)

1005 5DsR raw files.

Bridge  40mins rendering previews (from folder)

Capture One 19mins including downloading 2 CF cards (16 Mins from folder)

Bridge & ACR suits my workflow and what I do, but we really need a proper rebuild of bridge!
