When I use "Save for web" and .png saving, Photoshop constantly freezes for 20-30 seconds (then works). I must close the programm and restart, then works for a while. I make a few hundreds of saves daily it is really annoying and also consumes a lot of time. There was no such problem for months before, but in the last 1-2 month it comes regulary. I love Adobe products and I know there is a lot of work behind it, if you can check it that would be a great help!
Just to clear things up its not computer performance problem, I have 12 GB Ram, i7, and this problem was not always there. My OS is Win8. I also can't make screenshot, because the print screen doesn't see the program during the problem (like its not exist) Thanks in advance!

Which version of Photoshop?

Is your system doing anything during the hang (like spinning up disk drives)?

Hi,
I think its the latest version I use Adobe CC, I downloaded it in November. It doesn't really affect other programs or the os I can do other things in meantime, but the computer works a bit on it. Just the Photoshop freezes and the save window. The save for web is transparent during the freeze, the PNG save have a strange diagonal line in it and no text. Then all works again. Important there is no problem during the save just before. An just with PNG and save for web. No problem with other files. Thank you in advance to take your time for my issue!

The latest version was released last week.
Check the version number in Help -> System Info.

It sounds like your installation maybe damaged.

I would first try restoring your preferences: http://blogs.adobe.com/crawlspace/201...

If that doesn't work, I would try uninstalling and reinstalling to repair the install/update.

Hi,

Thank you for both of your answers. Now I made it both. I updated my Photoshop to the latest and restored the preferences. I'm going to watch if the problem solved. I appreciate your help!

Hi,

Thank you for your help! I can say now that the problem solved, there was no disturb in these days with the PNG and save for web. I think the problem was the preferences rather than the update.
This support here is awesome thank you a lot!

Cheers!
