Title says it all.

Mac users are forced to use mouse / menu tree to do things plugin-wise that Windows users can do with a single keystroke sequence. - Makes using plugins on Mac more cumbersome...

'Nuff said?

You are aware that Mac users can assign keyboard shortcuts to any menu command using the System Keyboard Preferences?

So, how would one set up a command to invoke a plugin extra from the file menu? I don't think I ever got that to work, and I know most lr-plugin users on Mac don't know how. If its readily doable, I'll just add it to plugin instructions (and would suggest Adobe do the same next rev).

Realize there is *no* keyboard accelerator for access to plugin functionality via the menus - so its not a "re-mapping"...

My apologies, I assumed that plug-in menu commands behaved like any other menu command. I see what you mean.

Rob, do you mean the Alt+letter shortcuts?
If that's the case, I'm afraid that is a function of the Operating System, and that, therefore, the request should rather be adressed to Apple.

Right - perhaps the correct name is keyboard accelerators. They are available for most menu items in Lightroom, but not plugins.

I recently learned how to assign keyboard shortcuts to plugin menu items on the Mac -- see this post:

On Mac platform very little use is made of the Ctrl key. Also, I was once advised by one of the engineers that this was unlikely to change, which means that there is considerably more scope for adding shortcuts than is the case on Windows. If you scroll down towards the bottom of this page http://www.computer-darkroom.com/lr2_... you'll see see some other tips on adding/changing keyboard shortcuts.
