Photoshop: Plugin doesn't work

I tried installing this: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/... I tried moving the plugin to my plugins folder but it says OSXCompatiability.textclipping?? Is there a fix for the fix?

Topaz Impression doesn't work now either. It launches from within PS but then after I make adjustments to a filter and click ok, nothing appears in my layer panel in PS. Topaz Impression DOES work IF I open it first, then open a file and then save it. This is not optimal of course since it has always worked before from within photoshop as a plugin.

You didn't download the plugin correctly. Go download the plugin again.

And contact Topaz for information about their issues with MacOS 10.11.

I went to the link provided. The first issue is that there was nothing to extract which is fine. It was just the plugin. I moved it to the PHotoshop 2015 plugin directory but when I dragged it to that location in the finder it gave it that extention text clipping. I'm not sure what else I can do?

Safari would unzip the file automatically after download completes.
The finder wouldn't change the extension to "text clipping" unless you were just copying the name of the plugin by mistake.

Drag the plugin file over into the Plug-Ins directory.

I did. I dragged it. That's what is so perplexing to me.

And I tried redoing the steps three times with the same results.
