When will Photoshop support Arabic or other right-to-left languages without purchasing the Middle-east version?? It's ludicrous that a designer is forced to give up certain project just because the world-renowned software that he uses doesn't support a certain language!! I was told that it was due to technical issues that PS can not edit Arabic unless it is an existing test layer that contains Arabic, but the Middele-East version support Arabic, so can I take it that the so-called technical issue has already been solved while ADOBE refuses to share the triumph with the rest version of PS?

Howdy Harry!

Actually, your wish is our command! Chris is right; CS6 now natively supports Arabic and Hebrew! Problem solved. 8-)

What I think you're referring to is that before CS6, the Middle-Eastern version was created by another company named WinSoft, but that's no longer the case. Now full support for Arabic and Hebrew is integrated into all versions, from US English to Simplified Chinese and everything in-between.

That said, both CS4 and CS5 could read and do basic editing of Photoshop files created with the MENA version. You can find templates here: http://www.adobe.com/support/download... and http://www.adobe.com/support/download... although the support in CS6 is so much better, allowing a bunch of additional features. You can download a copy of CS6 here: http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/ph...

Hope you like it!
