I can see where some people will love it. But I, and quite a few others I've talked to and are posting on Apple's discussion boards would like to see Lion's autosave die.

Like many, I simply do not want to ever use Apple's new "I'm going to save and overwrite your files for you." This is data loss in action, committed by the OS itself. The makers of Graphic Converter have already added the option to ignore Lion's automatic saving.

When I open a standing file, I won't always know ahead of time I will want to save a new file based on the one I opened. With Lion, you can of course duplicate, but your original document will be identical to the dupe, with all changes you've up to that point. You can close that original and then revert it, but it's more steps you never had to do before. What if you forget to revert it? Then you're really goosed.

Anyway, the request is that Adobe (and every other third party vendor) please, PLEASE, include in option in all of your software updated for Lion to give users the option to never the OS to autosave your work.
