Lightroom: Please add drag and drop sources for resizing images on the fly!

The #1 feature I'd like to see for Lightroom - the addition of dynamic and customizable buttons that will act as a drag and drop source for resizing the current picture to an arbitrary size/format for emailing/copying/uploading. (i.e.: if you drag from the 800x600 jpeg button, you get an 800x600 version of the current image to drop somewhere, without having to explicitly save the file to disk first or clean it up later). The temporary files should just be deleted when you quit Lightroom.

You can already do that. Just set up an export preset for 800 on the long edge, make sure your images are at 4:3 aspect ratio and export.

That's not what I'm asking for. If I do that, I still have to find a location to save the file in, go to that location after the export, then drag the file into some other application, then delete it when I'm done.

What I want is for the resized file to be created on the fly when I do the actual drag, and then deleted automatically at some later point. (And not added to my catalog, and not cluttering up my drive.)

At what later point, and how would LR know when it's okay to delete it?

As I said - delete them when you quit Lightroom.
