Lightroom: Please add a UI to help resolve metadata conflicts

[ Seems so obvious that I assumed there would already be a request but I couldn't see one. Sorry if it's already there. ]

Sometimes the (!) exclamation mark will appear on my images marking them as having a metadata conflict. When I click it, all Lr can tell me is that there is a conflict and which source would I like to use as the authoritative source? How do I know? I can't see what the conflict is.

At the least, please give me the name(s) of the field(s) that conflict. I can probably make the right choice most of the time based on that.

At best, please provide a diff/merge UI to interactively pick field by field which data to retain.

Good idea.

In the mean time, ChangeManager will provide a list of all develop setting and metadata differences when there is a conflict (or when there isn't...).

This has been a redundant feature request since LR1

like:

It would be good to merge topics and votes.

Eric - To be clear, the feature request you link to is for something slightly different. That one is asking for the ability to create smart collections based on the metadata conflict status. You did reply on that thread that you wanted a UI to determine what the conflict was but that's not the OP's request. I saw that one yesterday and decided to file this one to make sure there is a clear distinction.
