I really link the linked smart object update, but I have a few suggestions for an update! Please consider including a links panel or a re-link button in the layers panel. Similar to that of indesign, with all of the options I need to manage links so I don't have to right click on the link every-time I need to edit or replace!! The link options are not very intuitive, why not just say re-link.Also the option to re-link all links if the link name changes, also similar to indesign, where it finds and replaces multiple links at once, if they are in the same folder. Also a great way to manage links with multiple states in the same panel. Please and thanks!!!!

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Links Palette.

Links Pallete

As we now can link files to a psd it would be good to have a link palette. The one in Indesign is really good as it gives you information about dpi and colour modes etc. This
would help the user to avoid issues and mistakes.

At the moment if you link assets that are different colour modes and turn on generate > assets – you will get 8bit bw files. This can very quickly avoided/noted by the user if a links panel was available.

Many thanks,
Asger

Ps – love the link feature together with the generate feature, one of the best workflow boosts in PS ever
